Virtual Winter Stargazing
Come learn about the winter nighttime sky! Using an online interactive star chart (which people will be able to use afterwards) and various illustrations, we'll discuss the stars, constellations, and a very bright planet that you can see this time of year! All participants will be emailed a star chart so they can follow along and, since this will be a live Zoom event, people will also be able to ask questions. Great Backyard Bird Count
Join thousands of people all over North America as they report what birds they see! It's all part of a wonderful, annual community science project that helps scientists track bird population trends. You don't have to de an expert birder to participate and you can observe right from your own house. It's fun and easy to do! Check it out at birdcount.org.

Join staff from the International Wolf Center In Ely, MN, for this fun, interactive program as we look at the physical and social adaptations wolves use to survive in their environment. Participants will be given an opportunity to observe the Center's ambassador wolves and will be able to ask questions of the IWC staff. This will be a live Zoom program. If you've ever wanted to try snowshoeing, now's your chance! Learn about the history of snowshoeing, the different types of snowshoes, and snowshoeing techniques. Then, we'll explore the park on snowshoes, stopping along the way to learn about the birds, deer, and other animals that call the park home!
