Join staff from the International Wolf Center In Ely, MN, for this fun, interactive program as we look at the physical and social adaptations wolves use to survive in their environment. Participants will be given an opportunity to observe the Center's ambassador wolves and will be able to ask questions of the IWC staff. This will be a live Zoom program. If you've ever wanted to try snowshoeing, now's your chance! Learn about the history of snowshoeing, the different types of snowshoes, and snowshoeing techniques. Then, we'll explore the park on snowshoes, stopping along the way to learn about the birds, deer, and other animals that call the park home! Geocaching

Geocaching is a great way to get outdoors, get some exercise, and enjoy a little adventure! So, join us to learn more about this fun and easy outdoor activity! You can bring along a smart phone, if you have one, but we will also have GPS units for participants to use. This program is offered jointly with NIACC, so you will need to preregister by contacting NIACC at either 641-422-4358 or at cereg@niacc.edu.

Spring Tree Giveaway

We will once again be holding our annual tree giveaway! This year, we will be offering four varieties of seedlings: Arrowwood, Hackberry, River Birch, and Serviceberry. Most seedlings will be 21"-30", with the River Birch being smaller. As in past years, the seedlings will be limited to one/person, but any leftover seedlings will be available towards the end of the day. It is also requested that people wear a mask while they are picking up their seedlings.

Spring Bird Walk

Come take a leisurely, guided hike to observe the spring birds that are migrating through northern Iowa or beginning to nest here. We’ll also learn about the birds themselves and how to identify them.
